The Year of the Horse and Why 2026 Feels Like Our Moment

February 17, 2026 marks the beginning of the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac. More specifically, the Year of the Fire Horse, a combination that only comes around once every 60 years. The Horse symbolizes energy, movement, independence, and momentum. Add the element of Fire (remember, we are located in a historic fire station), and those traits intensify. It’s associated with bold decisions, visible transformation, forward motion, and the courage to run toward opportunity instead of waiting for it.

When we looked at the calendar and realized our transition to Fusion aligned with the first day of the Year of the Horse, we couldn’t help but smile. Because if there’s one word that describes this season for us, it’s momentum.

Over the past 18 months, we’ve been rethinking how marketing partnerships should work. We moved beyond the traditional agency model and leaned fully into embedding with leadership teams, aligning marketing with business strategy, and sharing ownership of outcomes. That shift required energy. It required clarity. It required courage.

The Year of the Horse is often described as a time when standing still feels harder than moving forward. That resonates deeply. The marketing landscape is shifting fast. Technology is evolving. Expectations are rising. The old pace no longer works. This is not a year for hesitation. It’s a year for aligned acceleration.

For us, Fusion represents that mindset. Not movement for movement’s sake. Not hustle for the sake of hustle. But focused, intentional forward motion. The Horse runs with strength and purpose. It moves as part of a team. It responds quickly. It covers ground. That feels like the right symbol for where we’re headed.

So here’s to 2026. Here’s to bold thinking. Here’s to integrated teams. Here’s to momentum with meaning. Welcome to the Year of the Horse. We’re ready for it.
